The Canes have a new owner and we don't know how to react. The Canes are on a west coast road swing and we know exactly how to react. This week Mike and Derek talk losing streaks, consistency, and what the hell's going on at 1400 Edwards Mill Rd. Hayes Permar, lead dog at SportsChannel8, joins us to talk #CanesSocial Night on December 23rd and what the hell is a #CanesCarol. We review a great beer from our friends over at BottleMixx & take your #CheatMail questions. We appreciate your listening all the way to the end of the podcast and look forward to seeing you at a game soon.

Tonight, Derek and Meg hold down the fort while Mike is in Vancouver enjoying all the scenery and lack of goals. We talk why this team is so up and down, new ownership, and a delicious brew from Haw River thanks to our friends at Bottlemixx.

November 29, 2017 06:25 AM PST

The Canes hit the road for 8 of 9 and our Mike Flanagan busts his knee in celebration. You voted for this episode #druggedmike, so we hope you enjoy.

Shane Willis, Carolina Hurricanes director of youth hockey and Fox Sports pre-game co-host joins us to talk prepping for roadtrips, locker room pranks, and his favorite former Cane broadcaster. The boys discuss the 2-2-0 home stand and go to a dark place around the Canes and Turkey day. Bottlemixx doesn't disappoint w/ another great beer for us to review, and we spill the beans on our upcoming live episode. Don't miss out... this one is a doozy.

It's holiday season and the Canes are sneaky decent, so the boys are pretty happy this week. Even more exciting, Adam Herman from Sporting News and BlueShirt Banter drops by to drop some New York Rangers knowledge on us. We chat thru the holiday week of games, review a great IPA during our BottleMixx beer review, and thank you guys for being part of the fam. We hope everyone enjoys!

What we learned this week: we're bad at accents, the Canes need some consistency, and Michelle McMahon loves the gypsy life. It's an episode chock full of hockey, beer, and your #Cheatmail. Thanks as always for listening and don't forget to review and subscribe. You can support the podcast at patreon.com/section328

It's been a tough week in Caniac Nation. We invite local sports guru, and noted Canadian, Mark Armstrong from ABC 11 to join us to discuss whats going on w/ the Canes and what he would do to fix our ills. We rant a bit, we try and figure out what's next, and Mike goes all pessimistic. An amazing Stone IPA is in this week's BottleMixx Beer Review, and it doesn't disappoint. Stick around for Cheatmail, and figure out if you can win a special prize in a special Canes Twitter Bingo tonight against the Coyotes. Please rate and review us. We really do appreciate it.

So this week we didn't have a great time on the ice, but we had a great time in studio. Mike and Derek talk about whether it's time to get close to the ledge (it isn't), if its time to make drastic changes (it isn't), and if we should drink beer for breakfast (we should). We take your cheatmail, and maybe we rant a little bit. Thanks as always for listening. Please feel free to leave a review so that other hockey fans can find us.

Man are we excited to have real hockey to talk about. We're even more excited that Sean Leahy from ProHockeyTalk.com is on the line to not only discuss the Metro w/ us, but to do an epic eff marry kill that didn't fall on deaf ears this time. Cam Ward gets love, we enjoy Bill Peters line shuffling, and we don't say many bad words. Thanks as always for listening. Thanks to this weeks sponsor TickPick.com, thanks to you our loyal listeners, and thank the Lord that the Canes are playing real hockey again. Please rate, review, and subscribe via your favorite podcast listening platform. This week Jeff and Wysh bid us their final adieu as Marek vs. Wyshynski recorded their final episode. That podcast, and specifically Jeff's encouragement to "just start a podcast if you love hockey" led this this site, this blog, and now 5 seasons of CNW. We wanted to take a few minutes to say thanks and finally answer MvsW's longest standing quandry: Should Game Show Friday be a thing? We ask the experts including: Game Show Friday Legend Matt Riegler, TrashNewton, Tally Duchene, GenXWin, and Kenn Konfirm. Stick around to the end for the final vote and a message from Wysh himself.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
done!
