With a busy week on the horizon, we're here to hopefully provide some levity and analysis. Ok, we provide the levity, and Cat Silverman from InGoal Magazine and The Athletic provides the analysis on the Dawn from Fathom Realty Guest Line. Cat is one of the best in the biz and one of the smartest goalie people we've ever met, so if anyone can solve our issues, it's Cat. We drink a kick butt Christmas Ale from Bottlemixx and answer your CheatMail questions all before leaving to go watch a certain win vs. Montreal (oops). Oh, and check out the new Alexa Skill by telling Alexa "Alexa, add Section 328 update to my skills"

The team can't score and our old asses can't stay up til 1AM to watch them score one goal, so this week, you get GUESTS on the @Caniac_Realtor guest line. Two of the best in the biz join us to talk Canes woes, goal scoring, and how to fix this team. Sara Civian from The Athletic Carolina joins us from the road to discuss the west coast swing and to debunk myths that it never rains in Southern California. Then, direct from the center of the hockey universe, Steve Dangle from Sportsnet and brand new author drops in to discuss Nylander, CMac, and the Canes upcoming tilt vs. the Leafs. We take your #CheatMail, review an amazing stout on the BottleMixx beer review, and Mike even drops in some underappreciated fan fic. Anything to score, right?

Is Scott Darling good? Is Jeff Skinner elite? When is a 4-2-1 streak bad? We try and answer all of these questions (poorly) during this weeks pod. Thanks as always for listening.

I had hoped to be able to put pen to paper and put my feelings out there on the return of Cam Ward tonight, but nothing felt right. So I did what I do all too often, and decided to just put my feelings out there about Cam's return. Before you judge me for my feelings, take a listen, and then judge away and feel free to even goalie chant me. Maybe it will be cathartic for you too.

DISCLAIMER: Mike might have fallen off the rails and lost his darn mind. Seriously, there is bad language in this episode. Don't play it on your speakers at work or around your kids. We'll do better next time, but here's the good news. This venting therapy session basically led to the Canes win in Chicago and has the boys back on track. Thanks to our sponsors @BottleMixx and @Caniac_Realtor as always for sticking by us during these tough times.

We're thru 10 games and the Canes aren't bad. In fact, dare we say it, the Canes are not crappy. This week we discuss the great tilt vs. San Jose, how the boys continue to defy expectations, and more. We take your #Cheatmail questions and drink a couple of tasty brews for the Bottlemixx beer review. If you have a second, please like, subscribe, and leave a review. We really do appreciate it and reviews help new listeners find us. Let's go Canes.

Locusts, pestilence, cats and dogs living together... all caused by 2 losses by your Carolina Hurricanes. Good for us, Mike Maniscalco from Fox Sports Carolinas is here to talk us off the ledge. We talk the Avs, we talk beer, and we have some fun. This edition best enjoyed as you wait in traffic on your way to the game. Come by and say hi... you know where we will be!

October 14, 2018 12:09 PM PDT

A quick CheatMail edition of #CheatersNeverWin that got lost during the Hurricane Michael power outage. We do a quick recap of last nights big win in Minnesota before diving in and finishing w/ a BottleMixx beer review. Thanks again for listening, and we will be back w/ a regular full episode this week.

October 12, 2018 06:11 AM PDT

The Canes are back and they are FUN? Well, we're here to cover the week that was and have some fun as well. Matt Somma aka CanesProspects joins us to talk about the rookies and how some of the young guys are starting in Charlotte as well. We apologize for the missing #Cheatmail, but a power outage during the storm yesterday caused us to lose the last 15 mins of the podder. We'll record a new cheatmail segment and get that back up over the weekend. In the meantime, enjoy, thanks for listening, and go have some fun!

September 27, 2018 07:29 PM PDT

With one week left until opening night, we welcome Sean Leahy from Pro Hockey Talk onto the podcast to discuss the Canes preseason and what to expect this season. We preview next weeks tailgate, this weekend's live podcast, and fill the air with our take on Gritty and the Whale. We're super excited to be seeing so many of you over the next week. It's great to have the fam coming back together.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.
